Youth Meeting 07-May-14
Issues discussed:
* Suspension Processes and Periods and Disciplinary Processes - Students tabled their thoughts as students were not returning back to class after lunch and tabled adding leaving site for unexplained reasons onto the list of warranted suspensions or disciplinary action.
* Recreational Activity for May - Students planned their activity and requested to go to Go-Karting. Planning, pricing and rationale was completed and handed to the Campus Manager for approval. Proposed date for Go-Karting is Wednesday 14 May
* Students requested shared lunch for Wednesday 7 May. Hot chips and bread!
Student Acheivements
STUDENT OF APRIL was awarded to Sinapati for his high levels of engagement in class, assistance to his peers and helping with others complete their work and assistance to staff over the month. Sinapti was awarded with a $30 Reading Cinemas Gift Card.
MOST IMPROVED was awarded to Mathew for his improvement in engagement in class and credit acheivement. Mathew was awrded with a $20 Warehouse Gift Card
STAFF PICK was awarded to Damian for his team and game spirit displayed during our recent Scavenger Hunt. Damian was awarded with a $20 Warehouse Gift Card
TOP 3 CREDIT ACHIEVERS are Rahleigh, Dominic & Rangi and were each awarded with $10 Warehouse Gift Cards.

SPA SAY A MASSIVE CONGRATULATIONS to Michael for gaining employment!!! Ka mau te wehi!
SPA WELCOMES aboard Patsy Madar our new Youth Guarantee Tutor for Employment Skills. Patsy has added her own flavour and spin on our centre and is fitting in well.
The final Full Self Directed Learning Day for SPA Students is Friday 16 May, 2014. Classes will resume on Friday's from Friday 23 May, 2014 from 9am - 12pm.
