DRIVER LICENSING

​LEARNER SUPPORT
​Nafisha Khan is the Learning Support Manager and provides all our learners support, advice & guidance
​
Learner Support is an integrated service for our Youth Guarantee participants. Learner Support provides career, education and/or training advice and addresses any other support you may require while you are attending a South Pacific Youth Guarantee Course. Even after you graduate or exit the service our Learner Support Manager remains engaged with you to see how you are progressing and, if needed, provide guidance and advice to assist you with your decision making and to help transition you into whichever path you choose to take.
During your interview Learner Support identifies your learning needs and ensures our classrooms are equipped with the materials and resources that are needed to ensure you are able to reach your full potential. Learner Support encourages and welcomes family members to attend and provide input into your education as well as asking any questions they may have.
EDUCATION:
We can help you get your Drivers Licence. We have the latest Road Code books to help you study the road laws and practice tests to make sure you pass the first time! Ask us how we can help

COMMUNITY EDUCATION & INDUSTRY VISITS
We supplement education delivery by embedding discovery and connection to your surroundings into your learning by organising industry visits to employers and educational providers as well as taking education into the community

YOUTH-LED DISCUSSIONS AND ACTIVITIES
Accreditation of South Pacific Youth Guarantee & Train for Work Programs
South Pacific Academy course content and structure is approved by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) and are regularly moderated by suitably qualified staff.

Entry Criteria for Youth Guarantee
To qualify for our Youth Guarantee Programs, you must not have completed any qualifications higher than a level 2 and must be between the ages of 16 - 19.
Our Youth hold regular meetings to discuss and arrange their own activities and outings. We encourage all youth to drive and head their recreational activities, fundraising and provide guidance to help them acheive their goals when needed
Qualifications gained at South Pacific
Youth will gain and be awarded with a National Certificate Level 1 in Employment Skills & a National Certificate Level 2 in Computer Skills upon successful completion of the course
During your time with South Pacific, before completion of your qualifications, Learner Support, your tutor and you and your family will discuss your future options available and provide assistance & guidance to help acheive your goals

Travel Assistance while attending South Pacific Academy
Counselling accessible while you are attending South Pacific Academy
All programs delivered by South Pacific Academy are FEE FREE courses, meaning you don't have to pay for anything.
While you are attending South Pacific Academy you may be entitled to Travel Assistance to help with the financial costs associated with travelling.
South Pacific provide access to a Counsellor at no cost while your are attending as a student. Counselling access is not limited to educational direction - this could be to help with any issues you may have.
